Freedom Press has been publishing pamphlets and books since the late 19th century, covering a huge variety of topics from an anarchist perspective: from mutual aid and education to class struggle, anti-fascism and Covid-19.
Whilst many Freedom Press titles are only found in second-hand shops, libraries and archives, our recent titles can be found in the online shop.

Our stock can be purchased wholesale directly through us, as well as through Central Books and AKUK who distribute our titles in the UK, as well as AK Press in the US.

Publishing with us
Note: At present we are unable to consider new book proposals. Please check back in 2027!
Freedom Press tends to publish short runs, aiming to keep prices as accessible as possible. As we are a volunteer-led non-profit publisher we ask authors where possible to waive payment. Where authors are not in a position to do so we offer a £1 per book flat rate as royalties. We also ask authors for non-exclusive ongoing rights to reuse and reprint works that we choose to publish.
Book proposals sent to the publishing team should include a title, back blurb, full table of contents, detailed description, two sample chapters (or equivalent extract), and author bio. Please also include a cover letter introducing the book and explaining how it fits in with our back catalogue.
